Cerebral palsy (CP) is a type of neurological condition that has potential to include various problem related to muscle tone, body posture and movement disorder, it usually develop during infancy. It is a motor disorder that not only effect the individual physical ability but also effect their mental health, due to various factors such as low physical activity, sleep disorders, pain, mobility and communication problems. The psychological challenges faced by the children with CP include Cognitive impairment, Emotional and behavioural issues, Social and communication challenges, ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), Learning disability, Sensory processing issue, Sleep disorder, Autism, Anxiety, and Depression. The primary aim of this study is to analyse the existing studies to understand the challenges of living with a chronic disorder that over time significantly creates a huge impact on the mental well-being and it also aim to enhance the need for psychological interventions that help the child to cope up with the challenges especially in their schools as they experience bullying. It donate to the field by offering insights in improving the mental and emotional well-being of children with cerebral palsy and their caregivers.
