Abstract:

The objective of the present study is to analyze the relationship between job satisfaction, work motivation and organizational commitment among industrial workers. The sample consisted of 325 workers which were randomly selected from industrial units in Haryana and Punjab. Scores were analysed using descriptive statistics, Pearson product moment correlation and multiple regression. Results revealed a significant and positive relationship between job satisfaction, work motivation and three components of organizational commitment, namely, affective, continuance and normative commitment. Although all independent variables were strongly associated with three components of organizational commitment, the impact of work motivation on organizational commitment is relatively stronger than that of the job satisfaction on organizational commitment.
